Project Managementthe DIKW way


Project Management is generally defined, managing projects. It's the way projects are organized, prepared, and completed.

 

A possible definition of project management is as follows:
By means of projects, integrating people, departments, organizations, resources and technical possibilities to solve a common problem identified in a structured way, taking into account the interests of stakeholders.

Programme management includes management of projectleaders and management of several subprojects, and project management includes the direction of team leaders within a project.


In project management, in general, the following steps succeed each other:
1. Start up of the project
2. Define project scope
3. Project planning
4. Devide the project in different phases
5. Execute the different phases
6. Monitoring of project progress
7. Decision-making and creation of the final deliverable
